About the jewellery

Yes, any item which has a silver content weight of over 7.78 grams is hallmarked as required by law. We use the London Assay Office. All of our silver jewellery is 925 sterling silver.

The base metal in the Limelight Collection is brass. This particular metal is used as it is fairly robust and the rhodium plating works exceptionally well with brass.

Rhodium is widely used in the jewellery industry for plating for two main reasons. It’s colour and finish is very close to silver and also it does not oxidise in the same way as silver does over time. Therefore it is almost tarnish free and needs very little cleaning.

No. All of our jewellery is nickel free.
